Review: Revlon Beyond Natural Cream Lipgloss in Peach

Hey guyss!!!

Here's a review for you!
Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike
1: Hate
0: Abhor

1. Packaging: (5/5)
I love the packaging. It's a squeezy tube which makes for an easier and more sanitary application. You can immediately see the color through the packaging so if you had a lot of these you could easily tell them apart.

2. Application: (2/5)
It applies very thickly so, it was hard to spread. Even though it's less sanitary, a doe foot applicator would have been a better applicator choice.

3. Pigmentation: (1/5)
It's very very sheer! What's worse though, it settles into the crevices of your lips. This could be used to top off lipsticks.

4. Scent: (5/5)
Smells like chocolates. Enough said.

5. Staying Power: (4/5)
It's on the thick side so I think it would stay on slightly longer but nothing too extreme.

OVERALL RATING: 3.4/5
WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Not really

OTHERS:

Price: Php200-Php250 (not really suure)

Review: e.l.f. Candy Shop Lip Gloss in Mocha Maniac

Helloooooo!

Let's just get on with it! LOL

Rating:

4: Awesome

1. Packaging: (0/5)
Hate the packaging. It's so unsanitary. I just don't like dipping my fingers into lip products. So, yeah, I'm sorry elf. :)

2. Consistency: (4/5)
You can definitely feel that you have product on your lips but it's nothing too much. It isn't sticky at all though so, that's a plus!

3. Scent: (5/5)
It smells like coffee. I remember when I brought the lip gloss to class, me and my friends would apply this and keep making duck faces so that we could smell the product on our lips! I am in love with the smell.

4. Pigmentation & Shine: (4/5)
It is definitely a clear gloss kind. It doesn't give any hint or tinge of brown whatsoever. It doesn't give too much shine.

5. Staying Power: (4/5)
Since it's slightly sticky, I can definitely see this lasting just a tad bit longer on the lips.

OVERALL RATING: 3.4/5
WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Yes only if you like lipglosses that have obvious smells and only if you don't mind the packaging. This is definitely a not-bad lip gloss.

Price: Php129.75

Review: Smackers Lip Frosting in Strawberry and Milk Chocolate

Hellooo!

Another lippy review! :D This one's a bit childish but who cares. I'm still a child! :D

1. Packaging: (5/5)
I love the colors of the packaging. I love how wonderfully playful it is! I love that it's in tube form too so, less germs!

2. Consistency: (5/5)
The consistency is light. It doesn't feel like gloss. It's not sticky or anything. It's very hard to describe. It's smooth but not a typical gloss feel. I think that's where the name "Lip Frosting" came from.

3. Scent: (5/5)
Strawberry:
LOVE! It smells like synthetic strawberries. It doesn't smell like legit natural strawberries but it smells like strawberry..... candy! There you go, strawberry candy. Which, if you know me, I'm in love with! :)
Milk Chocolate:
Smells like LEGIT milk chocolate. I love it!!!

*Side Note: They taste like their flavors too! :)

4. Pigmentation & Shine: (3/5)
It comes off as clear gloss. That's it. It does give your lips a VERY SLIGHT tint of pink but it's really hard to see even in the photos. The shine is decent too.

5. Staying Power: (3/5)
I almost had a hard time judging the staying power because I always get the urge to lick them off. :) But as far as I can tell, the staying power is decent, nothing extraordinary.

OVERALL RATING: 3.6/5
WOULD I RECOMMEND?:

Yes: If you're a huge Smacker's fan, this one's definitely a "rare" one so I would recommend you to pick it up. If you know someone who's going to the States, it would make a good
souvenir if you really like it.

No: If you're only on the hunt for a good lip gloss. This is not worth the hassle if you're only looking for a gloss.

Review: Beautilicious Lip Gloss (Candy Apple and Toffee Apple)

Hellooooo!!

Another lip product review! They are two different flavors but I'll join them together because they're pretty similar in everything else aside from the flavor or scent.

1. Packaging: (4/5)
I love tube packagings. They're hygienic and easy to use. But what I don't get with this packaging is, why the heck would I need some bling on my lipgloss. It had these weird charm things attached to the bottom that I just can't figure out. But nonetheless, I give it a four for the tube.

2. Consistency: (5/5)
It has a very thin consistency but it's nowhere near runny. When you put it on, you can barely feel anything on your lips and it is not sticky at all. This, in my opinion, is the best that a lip gloss can get.

3. Scent: (3/5)
It has a weird scent. It doesn't smell like candy apple or toffee apple. I don't like it. I just can't figure out what it's trying to smell like. I definitely get a hint of something very candy scented but it is overpowered by a weird plastic-y smell.

4. Pigmentation & Shine: (4/5)
I like the pigmentation. It's very sheer but build-able. It's not too shiny though.

5. Staying Power: (3/5)
Just like any lip gloss, it goes away within the next 2-4 hours. So, typical staying power. Nothing special.

OVERALL RATING: 3.8/5
WOULD I RECOMMEND?: No, again, the colors are dupe-able. Nothing super unique.

Price: I can't find it online and it was a gift so, I don't know.
(But I'm selling these particular glosses in my blog sale *click* for Php50 each)

Review: The Face Shop Color-Full Lip Palette 01

Hello!

Last post, then I'm coming home from China! Did I mention I have been in China for the past four days? Yup! I'm coming home today! Yay!

Anyways, I thought I'd do a review on this product. I got it as a present on my 18th birthday I think. So, I've had it for over a year and then some! It that gross?

Anyways, again with the informal review format. LOL
The packaging looks like this. I love the colors. It's so pretty and girly too. Then (below) you can see how it looks like inside. Stupid me forgot to take the picture of the mirror. It comes attached with one. And you see that little space down there below the products? It comes with a brush that is not so good a quality.

This one is Matte Deep Rose and I love love love the color. I think this is my My-Lips-But-Better color, if I do say so myself. It's easy to apply and the pigmentation is awesome.

The Glossy Shine Pink on the other hand, I hate. The color in the pot is nice but it streaks when applied and it settles in the crevices of the lips when not applied properly.

Same goes with the Glossy Shine Peach. It's really hard to work with. Although the color could have been nice if the formulation was a bit better.

Lastly, I love the Matte Violet Rose. It goes on nicely and it's easy to apply. I don't know about the staying power of each though. To me, it seems that it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Overall, I like the Matte ones but I don't like the Glossy ones. By the way, the matte ones aren't really matte. They have pretty much the same finish as the Glossy ones only the formulation differs.

I don't think this is something that you should go out and hunt for. For me, though, I like it and I bring it everywhere because of the Matte Deep Rose color but other than that, I wouldn't really recommend this product 'cause only 50% of it has great quality.

You can purchase this at The Face Shop stores all around.

Hope you like!

Review: Avon Glazewear Liquid Lip Color in Chocolate Fling

Hi hi! :)

Another day, another review! Here goes.
Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike

0: Abhor

1. Packaging: (3/5)
The packaging is okay. But one thing that bugs me the most about it is the name of the color. It's so frikkin' small! It's so small, that when I wanted to read the name of the product, I had to rely on the macro setting on my digital camera. Yes, I took a picture of the label on the bottom and zoomed it on my camera screen. Another thing that is that it has a brush applicator which is more prone to bacterial infestation. (I totally made that term up.)

2. Consistency: (4/5)
Considering that this is a liquid lipstick, the consistency is pretty good. It is on the sticky side but nothing unbearable. I feel like this is one of those lip products where the stickiness helps the product to stay on a lot longer. It is also on the thick side but again, for a liquid lipstick, it's pretty good.

3. Scent: (5/5)
Some may not appreciate this as much as I do, but this smells like chocolate. Like, legit, chocolate. I love it! Although for the record, it doesn't taste like chocolate. You can't really smell it once you've put it on so, it wouldn't really bother you if you're not too fond of the smell.

4. Pigmentation: (5/5)
The pigmentation is amazing because it's thick and if you build it up enough it could be opaque. I just feel turned off by this 'cause I think I got the wrong color. This was a gift a couple Christmases ago. But I would have never bought a brown-plum-y color. The shimmer also really pretty against the deep color.
5. Staying Power: (4/5)
I haven't tested full-on the staying power of this but so far, I like. The thickness and stickiness actually works to its advantage in this aspect.

OVERALL RATING:4/5
WOULD I RECOMMEND?: If you could get your hands on this, then, definitely!

Price: I really could not get a price on this on Google. The best I got was Php199.
Availability: It's hard to get your hands on Avon products but find out how to buy here.

Review: Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Grapefruit

Hwatsup! :)

I found this little tube of lip gloss from my pile of lip products and I was like, what the heck. So, here goes!
Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike
1: Hate

1. Packaging: (5/5) [for the samples] (3/5) [for the full size]
The packaging is sleek, simple and minimalist. All of which I love. I love the metal cap, it just gives it a really sophisticated feel to it. The applicator for the samples is the typical squeeze out tube which is nice because, as opposed to the brush applicators (as in the full sized versions), this is not susceptible to germ contamination.

2. Consistency: (5/5)
The consistency is not sticky at all. I love it. It almost feels like a lip balm on your lips. However, it does feel like you have something on your lips which I was iffy about at first but eventually you get used to it.

3. Scent: (4/5)
It has the slightest scent of how Clinique products usually smell like but you can't really even smell it even when it's already on. I only gave it an awesome because, I know this will make me sound like such a kid, but I like scented lip glosses! But since it doesn't have any obvious smells, I guess it would appeal to a much bigger market.

4. Pigmentation & Shine: (4/5)
Since it is a lip gloss, it's very sheer, borderline clear. It does have an ever so slight tinge of pink, but that's it. Some people would appreciate a more pigmented lip gloss (which is why I only gave it a 4) but this works for me. As for shine, it's not one of those plastic-y looking lip glosses which I hate. It's very subtle and very natural-looking. You know the look of your lips when you just licked it, this lip gloss captures that look perfectly.
5. Moisturizing Effect: (5/5)
It does feel really moisturizing on the lips. This could even be a good lip balm. I mentioned earlier that it feels like lip balm on the lips, turns out, it also works like one which is awesome.

6. Staying Power: (3/5)
As with any other lip glosses, the lasting power is the down side. It lasts a decent amount of time. Nothing extraordinary. But apparently for other people it lasts up until 6 hours. Even though that wasn't what I experienced, I thought I'd still throw that bit in.

OVERALL RATING: 4/5
WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Yes and No.

No, because I think there are similar products that practically works the same but for a cheaper price. So, if I consider the price, I wouldn't really recommend.

But if you are one of those people who can shell out the extra bucks then, by all means, go for it.

Price: Php620 for full size (according to Clinique.com)
Availability: Rustan's Department Stores
