Moisturizer that Turns into Water Droplets. :|

The title pretty much sums up my reaction after trying this on the back of my hand during the iWhite event.

:|

I couldn't react cause I have never seen anything work like this!

First, let's talk about the product itself.

Hop on over to the iWhite Even blog post for a more detailed explanation of what's in the ingredients and what it does.

So, this post is going to be short and sweet and I'll let the product do the talking.

But of course with a little added help from me in the form of little captions.

This is basically what it looks like straight out of the tube.

This is what it looks like when you rub it a little bit into the skin.

BAM! Water droplets after rubbing it more!

Here you can see how supple the left hand looks compared to the right hand.

Cool, huh?

Hope you like!

PS- You can get all iWhite products at Watson's. :-)

Review: iWhite Skin Whitening Vita Moisturizing Facial Wash

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the iWhite Event and I showed the items they gave us to take home and try.

Someone requested a review so here it is! I already reviewed the Nose Pack and the moisturizer will be next in line!

So, anyways, here is what the product looks like.

For a more detailed explanation of this and the other products, go to the iWhite Event blog post. I talk about ingredients and everything over there.

Anyways, I put this through the test that I give every facial wash that I review.

STEP 1:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I put on a thick layer of my Wet N Wild Tinted Moisturizer and my e.l.f. Cake Foundation.

STEP2
I swiped half of my face using my Hortaleza, M.D. Facial Toner

Here is what came off.

STEP3

Afterwards, I washed my whole face with the facial wash and used the toner on the other side of my face.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Here is how the product looks like. It's not creamy at all, it's more foamy.

STEP4
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I swiped the other side of my face with the same toner and here's what came off.

So, comparing the two, the facial wash took A LOT of the product off my face.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Of course it did not take EVERYTHING off but imagine what that cotton pad will look like once you use a makeup remover before washing.

I'm guessing white.

It claimed to moisturize and whiten but I did not feel any immediate results but as a facial wash, it definitely does its job.

As for the scent, iWhite products seem to have a signature smell so if you've used some of their products, then this will smell something like that. It's nothing harsh, it's a relaxing smell, actually, if you ask me.

So, there you go!

Hope you like!

Review: Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush

I know I have been MIA during these past few weeks, months even, and that's because I underestimated the workload I have been getting. Life in school has been tough but fun and juggling that with MeTime Manila has been epic.

But then, I always have had that nagging voice at the back of my head making me guilty for neglecting this blog so I decided to momentarily drop all my homework and MeTime stuff to write a blog post for you guys.

A couple of months ago, I applied to become a Sigma Affiliate which is why the moment you open my blog page, a Sigma banner will greet you. Anyway, as part of the perks of being a Sigma Affiliate, they gave me one of their brushes for free.

I thought that I'd share with you guys my thoughts on this brush just so you guys would know if it's worth the money.

For the record, before I got this brush, I was using a MAC *cough*replica*cough* Foundation Brush.

1. HOW IT CAME IN THE MAIL
Most of you probably already know how Sigma delivers each and every product to their buyers. They come in these little pouches that have a flier which tells you about the product/brush you got.

PRO: It's a simple yet thoughtful gesture.
CON: The flier is a bit wasteful for those who already know about makeup and makeup brushes.

2. BRUSH HANDLE AND THINGS

The handle itself has a pretty matte to satin finish. Similar to the Marrionaud brushes. It has the label in the middle part of the brush. What I like about the Sigma naming system is that it shows you what it can be used for. The "F" in F80 means that it's meant for the face.

PRO: Sleek looking, not prone to getting dirty.
CON: The label will rub away in time.

3. SIZE:

I'd say that it is a pretty decent size. It's about the same size as my Marionnaud Angled Blush Brush and that brush is like perfect everything so, yeah.

PRO: Good for daily use.
CON: May not be travel friendly to some.

4. BRUSH HAIR
It's duo fiber which makes for good blending capabilities. The white part is long enough to blend well but short enough to prevent streakiness.

PRO: Vegan because it's synthetic.
CON: Takes a bit longer to dry.

So, that's basically it.

Overall, it's a good brush for tinted moisturizers and foundations and things like that. I have yet to try how it would work for cream and powder products but so far I like using this.

I have to admit though that there are times when I would just prefer to use my hands and just won't bother with the brush but for them times that I have the luxury of time, I will definitely grab this.

So, there.

If you have any questions, just comment!

Hope you like!

Review: iWhite Nose Pack

A few weeks ago, I went to the iWhite Pizza Party at Papa John's Greenhills. When I told you guys about that, someone requested for a review on their products.

I thought I'd start by reviewing one of their bestsellers.

The iWhite Nose Pack.

As you all might know, I am not skin care savvy so I haven't really tried a lot of nose packs. I have tried only one other nose pack thing and it was the White Mud *something* from the Face Shop. If you want a review on that, just ask!

Anywhoo, as I have said in my post about the iWhite event, this is supposed to remove blackheads, whiteheads and dirt and it has Mulberry Extract, Panax Ginseng and Alo Vera. I posted the uses of these ingredients in the iWhite post so just hop on over there for more information.

Okay so, here goes.

Here is what it looks like when you squeeze it out. The look and consistency kind of reminds me of Elmer's Glue. I think that it helps to adhere onto the skin to take the blackheads, whiteheads and dirt out more easily.

Putting the product on is a little tricky for me. It literally is like trying to evenly place glue on your face. I suggest that you take a little more than what you would think and try to evenly apply it in one swipe because if you try doubling over spots you've missed, all the product will end up on your fingers all over again.

Oh and be sure to get your hair out of the way. My hair sometimes gets stuck on the white gooeyness.

Peeling it off is a bit hard. It's like peeling off packaging tape that you've somehow gotten on your skin. My advice is to treat it like a band aid and just yank the whole thing off at once.

Please don't be grossed out in the next picture...

TA DA! All the dirt that used to be on my nose!

I removed the nose strip when it was dry to the touch but apparently, underneath, it was still wet, so I suggest waiting the full 15 minutes before taking it off.

But if this does happen to you, don't try pulling the little bits off because you'll end up pinching yourself. Just wash it off with water and a little bit of facial wash. If that doesn't work, use your toner.

So, there. I did tell you guys that I have only tried one other nose pack thing but they generally work the same so, I must say that I prefer this one just because you're getting the same thing but cheaper.

Overall, I actually enjoyed "playing" with this that at one point, I did it everyday for days in a row. I know that's bad, you're only supposed to do it 2-3 times a week but it was so fun! Sue me! LOL

So, there you go!

Hope you like!

Review: Elianto 8pc. Brush Set

Helloooooooo!!

Someone asked me to do a review on the Elianto 8pc. Brush Set that I bought a few months/years ago. Sorry sorry! I forgot who you are and I don't remember where you commented. Comment below if it's you so I can link you in the post. Apologies.

Anywhoo.. Here goes!

The bag that it comes in is pretty nice! It doesn't look like a brush roll at all. It looks almost like a clutch.

It has an elastic thing that goes around the button at the back.

And it also has a zipper for extra protection.

Here's what it looks like inside. I gave one brush away which is why it's missing one.

Flaps up!

I don't know why this photo rotated itself but the brush handle is very chic. It's a matte black color with the brand name printed on it in white. The brush ferrule is very chic too! I like that it's black as opposed to being silver.

As for the brushes itself, here are my thoughts.

Powder Brush:
1. Flimsy
2. Not Dense
3. Scratchy but Tolerable
4. Hair Falls Out

Angled Brush: (pretty much the same as the powder brush)
1. Flimsy
2. Not Dense
3. Scratchy but Tolerable
4. Hair Falls Out

Eyeshadow Shader Brush:
1. Great for packing on color
2. Great for blending
3. I could survive on this brush alone

Small Angled Brush
1. Soft
2. Flimsy
3. Can be used for blending
(the other brush that I don't have is just a bigger version of this one)

Eyeliner Brush:
1. Soft&Flimsy

Here are the two brushes that I probably use the least but I still find it handy to keep them there.

So, there you go.

The whole brush set costs about Php800-Php1000, I can't really remember.

Overall, the eye brushes are AMAZING but the face brushes are mediocre. This would be a good beginner brush set.

I still use the eye brushes religiously but I traded the Elianto face brushes for my Marionnaud ones.

Review: Nichido Girl's Night Out Eye Contour Pencil

Hellooooooo!!!

When I finished making my D.I.Y. Light Box, I wanted to take pictures of everything! So, here's a review for you!

I've had these since forever. I think I bought this during my second year of high school so, more or less, five years ago!

I used these on and off and I love it!
Top to Bottom:
Smoke Green
Metal Blue
Nice Gal

From the picture above, you can see that they have this thing at the opposite end that's supposedly used for smudging. I DO NOT recommend using it. Using this on your eyes would be like scratching your eye lids raw. Seriously.

They did have caps to cover that part but it just kept falling off that I just threw it away.
Speaking of caps, as you can see in the photo above, the caps are really prone to cracking and breaking. I don't know if it's because I've had these for five years already but you can see how beat up they are.

Top to Bottom:
Nice Gal
Metal Blue
Smoke Green

#1: Pencil itself
#2: Smudged with smudger
#3: Smudged with finger

I bought Nice Gal cause I thought that it would be a good waterline color but it give that awesome white pigmentation. It just gives a gold-y glow. I use this for inner corner.

Smoke Green and Metal Blue are both awesome. Great pigmentation and all that! Love love love those. So, yeah!

Sorry about the scattered-ness of this review. I'm trying to do more review formats! Tell me if you like this one or the one where I give ratings.

Thank you guys! I love you all! :)

Hope you like!

Review: Bobbie Basic Special Quick Dry

Hi Hi!!

I don't really have any cute anecdotes about this bottle so, I'll just go straight on with the review.

Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike
1: Hate
0: Abhor

1. Packaging: (5/5)
The packaging is awesome! I love how chic it looks. It doesn't look cheap at all.

2. Application: (2/5)
It's basically oil. I don't like how if you apply too much, it goes on your fingertips and if you're like me where you type on your keyboard while your polish dries, it makes the keyboard oily.

3. Drying Time: (3/5)
The drying time of the polish after you put this on is fairly decent. It doesn't completely dry up in thirty seconds but it doesn't take forever either. In this aspect, the product is not super amazing but it's not that bad either.

OVERALL RATING: 3/5
WOULD I RECOMMEND?: No. You're better off with a quick dry top coat.

Price: Php40 for 15mL
Availability: Watson's or Department Stores

Review: Revlon Beyond Natural Cream Lipgloss in Peach

Hey guyss!!!

Here's a review for you!
Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike
1: Hate
0: Abhor

1. Packaging: (5/5)
I love the packaging. It's a squeezy tube which makes for an easier and more sanitary application. You can immediately see the color through the packaging so if you had a lot of these you could easily tell them apart.

2. Application: (2/5)
It applies very thickly so, it was hard to spread. Even though it's less sanitary, a doe foot applicator would have been a better applicator choice.

3. Pigmentation: (1/5)
It's very very sheer! What's worse though, it settles into the crevices of your lips. This could be used to top off lipsticks.

4. Scent: (5/5)
Smells like chocolates. Enough said.

5. Staying Power: (4/5)
It's on the thick side so I think it would stay on slightly longer but nothing too extreme.

OVERALL RATING: 3.4/5
WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Not really

OTHERS:

Price: Php200-Php250 (not really suure)
