Tutorial: Gun-Metal Nails by Layering Polishes

Hello everybody! :)

One of the trends this spring (hehe. feeling American!) for nails is Gun-Metal Gray. Since I am restricted by my self-imposed challenge to purchase any other colors than the ones I already own, I discovered an amazing technique to make it seem like I have more colors than I actually do.

This technique is layering polishes. I will show you how to achieve a gunmetal gray effect by layering polishes.

First, apply your choice of base coat.

Second, apply any black nail polish. As I have said in a past post, I ran out of my old black polish so, all I had left was this nail art polish which had a super thin brush and it left streaky lumps, but that's okay.

Next, pick a very sheer silver nail polish and apply a very thin coat of it so that the black still peeks through a bit.

Then, there you go. As I've said, my nail polish is very streaky cause I used a nail art polish. It'll look lots better if you use a polish with a regular sized brush.

So, yeah! Look forward to more spring-related posts because I have been very into the trends for spring lately.

Hope you like!
