Review: Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush

I know I have been MIA during these past few weeks, months even, and that's because I underestimated the workload I have been getting. Life in school has been tough but fun and juggling that with MeTime Manila has been epic.

But then, I always have had that nagging voice at the back of my head making me guilty for neglecting this blog so I decided to momentarily drop all my homework and MeTime stuff to write a blog post for you guys.

A couple of months ago, I applied to become a Sigma Affiliate which is why the moment you open my blog page, a Sigma banner will greet you. Anyway, as part of the perks of being a Sigma Affiliate, they gave me one of their brushes for free.

I thought that I'd share with you guys my thoughts on this brush just so you guys would know if it's worth the money.

For the record, before I got this brush, I was using a MAC *cough*replica*cough* Foundation Brush.

1. HOW IT CAME IN THE MAIL
Most of you probably already know how Sigma delivers each and every product to their buyers. They come in these little pouches that have a flier which tells you about the product/brush you got.

PRO: It's a simple yet thoughtful gesture.
CON: The flier is a bit wasteful for those who already know about makeup and makeup brushes.

2. BRUSH HANDLE AND THINGS

The handle itself has a pretty matte to satin finish. Similar to the Marrionaud brushes. It has the label in the middle part of the brush. What I like about the Sigma naming system is that it shows you what it can be used for. The "F" in F80 means that it's meant for the face.

PRO: Sleek looking, not prone to getting dirty.
CON: The label will rub away in time.

3. SIZE:

I'd say that it is a pretty decent size. It's about the same size as my Marionnaud Angled Blush Brush and that brush is like perfect everything so, yeah.

PRO: Good for daily use.
CON: May not be travel friendly to some.

4. BRUSH HAIR
It's duo fiber which makes for good blending capabilities. The white part is long enough to blend well but short enough to prevent streakiness.

PRO: Vegan because it's synthetic.
CON: Takes a bit longer to dry.

So, that's basically it.

Overall, it's a good brush for tinted moisturizers and foundations and things like that. I have yet to try how it would work for cream and powder products but so far I like using this.

I have to admit though that there are times when I would just prefer to use my hands and just won't bother with the brush but for them times that I have the luxury of time, I will definitely grab this.

So, there.

If you have any questions, just comment!

Hope you like!

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Have you ever gotten anything from Sigma? What did you think?

if you want the label to stay, try putting clear nail polish over it :)
