Suitcase Stories: Taiwan (Night Market)

Hey!

While we were in Taipei, we visited one of their night markets.

Here's the arch that greets you at the entrance.

I expected it to be a bazaar of sorts but it was more like a food bazaar kind of thing.

FRIED CHICKUN!!!!!!

Weird hotdogs! LOL

Of course there were a few stalls that sold clothing...

... and lingerie.

They sold guavas too! Apparently, they like to eat guavas as snacks. I didn't like the taste but my mom loved it!

More street food!!

In the photo above, do you see that big brown box-like thing that that girl is holding? Well, believe it or not those are actually compressed peanuts. Cool, huh?

This is the name of the restaurant that we decided to eat in. It was something like a shabu-shabu place. And yes, that guy is giving me the evil eye.

This is in commemoration of the only kind of tea that I enjoyed drinking. Sadly, I forgot what it's called.

Here's what my mom's food looked like. It freaked me out looking at it. But anyways, she ordered the seafood platter or whatever.

Here's what mine looks like. It didn't appeal to me at first either.

But look! I finished it all!

And my mom loved her dish too. Look, all gone!

We came across this cool guy too. He's a glass blower if that's what you call it.

He creates these little figurines by melting glass and manipulating the shape by blowing into them, makes sense?

He also made this cute little doggy!

And this big chicken!

And believe it or not, the guy in the photo above is a fortune teller! He's dressed more like an accountant though.

Some weird soupy thing I saw in the street.

Here are some accessories. I waaant the bracelets on the upper right corner of the photo!

I want these t-shirts too! The designs are so pretty!

Here are the people strolling through the night market!

I looooove the patches on this girl's bag. I wonder where I can get those. LOL

I looooooove these little purse things!!

Especially this bear/dog!!

Anywhooo, I hope you liked this one. Much Much more to come! :)

I know!! If I had a stronger stomach, I would have tried everything!! Too bad I get diarrhea easily. Hihi. T.M.I.

And the dog purse is too adorable. Too bad it was a bit pricey! The sign said it was "handmade" so, maybe that's why.
