Review: Wet n Wild Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer

As I have already mentioned in my previous posts, I am not an avid fan of using foundation. My face is pretty clear, though slightly discolored, and tinted moisturizers do the job.

Last December, I ran out of my e.l.f. Tinted Moisturizer and I decided to purchase one from another brand in order to test the field and whatnot. So, let's get on with the review.
Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike
1: Hate
0: Abhor

IN TERMS OF:

1. Packaging: (3/5)
The packaging is quite decent. It's sleek and frank. But the problem I find with the packaging is that, in order for it to stand, you have to place it with the nozzle at the bottom. This poses as a problem because since the consistency is on the runny side (I'll get to that in a second) when you open the bottle carelessly, the product can come gushing out. But, if you store the product on its side (like I do) this can be avoided. Another problem I have with the packaging is that the cap is quite difficult to screw back on. Other than that, the packaging functions as the typical squeeze out bottle that we all have come to know.

2. Scent: (4/5)
Some reviews I have watched on this product claims that the tinted moisturizer does not have a scent. However, when I use it, I can smell a sort of sunblock-y type of scent. I actually like the smell of sunblock and I don't mind it. Although this might bother some people so I deemed it worth mentioning.

3. Consistency: (2/5)
When I first started using this tinted moisturizer, I would have given the consistency a 1/5 because it was too runny. But, after watching a review on YouTube, I realized that I have to shake it to get a better outcome. However, after shaking the product it still is on the runny side. I prefer tinted moisturizers that have a little bit more viscosity (for lack of a better word) than this. Although, this might work for some people but it is not my preference.

4. Application: (3/5)
When applying this product, it is quite similar to applying sun block on your face. You need about a piso-sized amount in order to cover your whole face. Personally, I like to apply this on my face in sections because it dries up very quickly when applied.

5. Coverage: (3/5)
The coverage is nothing special. It provides the coverage of a typical tinted moisturizer which is very very sheer. However, I do not know how this would work for someone with breakouts because, as mentioned, I have pretty clear skin.

6. Staying Power: (2/5)
Now, this is the lowest point of this product, in my opinion. When I put the tinted moisturizer on in the morning, I set it with a powder. But when I take it off at night, no traces of tinted moisturizer can be found on the cotton pad I use to take my makeup off. However, I have very active sweat glands (tee-hee) so, that is one epic factor. This may work better for people who doesn't sweat as much.

OVERALL RATING: 3/5

WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Not really.

OTHER FACTORS

Price:
The price is pretty decent. You pay Php399 for a 29mL product which is not that bad of a deal.

Availability:
I have only ever found the Wet n Wild brand at the SM Department Store in Megamall but I'm sure this is available elsewhere. Also, this is probably available on numerous sites up on Multiply although I haven't checked.

Great review! Really thorough :)
I have this tinted moisturizer too, and it really does nothing to me :( I felt like it just sat on top of my skin and made me oily. I'm a new follower!
