Review: Human Heart Nature Balancing Facial Wash

IT'S MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TODAY!
WOOT WOOT!

Anyways,
I bought this to use as a facial wash but then, upon further reading of the label, I realized that this was a scrub. But nonetheless, here's a review.

IN TERMS OF:

1. Packaging: (5/5)
The cap is sometimes hard to flip back but overall, I love the packaging. It's simple and convenient.

2. Scent: (3/5)
Not a big fan of the scent but I'm not repulsed by it either. It has a nature-y scent with hints of citrus smells.

3. Consistency: (5/5)
It has a gel-like consistency so, I like it. It's quite runny but the packaging helps the product stay in the bottle and not gush out.

4. Lathering: (4/5)
It lathers pretty well on the skin.

5. Exfoliating Effect: (3/5)
The beads aren't as big as some of the other exfoliators I've tried so, again, people with sensitive skin would enjoy this. However, people who do not have sensitive skin can definitely live with using this as a daily facial cleanser.

OVERALL RATING: 4/5

WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Yes. (As an exfoliator for people who have sensitive skin and as a daily cleanser for the others.)

OTHER FACTORS

Price: Php229
Availability: I got mine at Rustan's Department Store but you can get them from Human Heart Nature dealers as well as their website (http://www.humanheartnature.com/).

**For the benefit of the people who don't have sensitive skin, here is a demonstration of how it works as a cleanser.

This is my face before washing anything off.

Wiped half of the face away with toner/cold cream.
(I couldn't remember which one I used)

Here's the dirt of that half of the face on a cotton ball.

Washed all of my face with the Human Heart Nature Balancing Facial Wash.

Here's the dirt that's left on the OTHER side of the face.
(The one I didn't clean a while ago.)

So, here are the two cotton balls side by side.
On the top is the before and below it is the after.

Hope you like!

Review: Eskinol Naturals Papaya Facial Scrub

What's up?

To be honest, the very first time I've heard of the brand Eskinol, it was from the toner or cleanser that our helpers used to use.

Not to be all snobby or anything but I had a mindset, since then, that the Eskinol brand was too cheap to function properly on my skin.

A few weeks ago, we were at the supermarket and I needed an exfoliator. This was the cheapest one I could find so, I went with it.
Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike
1: Hate
0: Abhor

IN TERMS OF:

1. Packaging: (5/5)
Love the packaging. It's very sleek and not at all something that I would expect from a cheap brand. I love the shape of it. I can feel that it's made of pretty good packaging material and I love how you can just take a look at the colors and instantly know that it has papaya in it.
(Sorry for the quality, my camera didn't want to focus.)

2. Scent: (5/5)
I'm a big fan of fruity scents so, it's no surprise that I fell in love with the scent of this product. It smells like papaya. It is a bit citrus-y but overall, very fruity.

3. Consistency: (5/5)
I love the consistency as well. I like how it's not too runny. It is not too thick as well wherein you'll find difficulty squeezing it out. It's in the happy medium of the range and I love it.

4. Lathering: (3/5)
The lather is a little bit underwhelming. It simply develops a slight foam but it's nowhere near bubbly. I actually can't recall if my old exfoliator bubbled up but this one definitely didn't.

5. Exfoliating Effect: (4/5)
Here's where it gets technical. The beads are on the tiny side so, if you don't have sensitive skin, this will not do anything for you. I, on the other hand, do not have sensitive skin although, the St. Ives Apricot Scrub hurts my face. I don't know if that's any indicator that I have sensitive skin. Sensitive skin or not, this exfoliator is just a tad bit milder for my taste. If the beads were only a little bit bigger, it would have been perfect.

OVERALL RATING: 4.4/5

WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Yes but only to those who have sensitive skin.
