NOTD + OOTD + One Item Haul: EPIC (7/2/11)

As you can see, I smooshed three topics into one blog post full of awesomeness.

First, let's do the NOTD. I saw a Newspaper Nails post on B for Bel so, I decided to try and make them myself on my own nails!

This was what I ended up with on the first try but I changed it afterwards because it looks way better with nude polish!
Here's how you do it:
- Cut strips of newspaper
- Apply base coat and let dry
- Apply desired amount of nude polish and let dry
- Soak a cotton ball with alcohol (the cleaning kind, not the drinking kind)
- Apply the alcohol onto your nail
- Place the newspaper strip against your nail and press down for a few seconds
- Gently lift the newspaper piece up
- Carefully apply a top coat
DONE!

Second topic, OOTD!

We went to pick up an order we made at a place which I will talk about later.

But this is what I wore to watch Transformers with the boyfriend.

That movie was EPIC!
Vest, Bayo; Dress, Bench; Necklace, Forever21; Leggings, Shopwise; Flats, So Fab

Lastly, my one item haul.
Php1,000

Me and the boyfriend bought jackets from The Amazing Playground which offers customized jackets, jerseys and shirts.

The service we received was not too good but the quality (for the price) is amazing.

Me and the boyfriend ordered one jacket each and the order got delayed a week. We went there last Friday only to be told to come again the next day.

We went there the next day to find out that only my jacket was ready. (They didn't even know it was my jacket until I pointed it out to them.)

In fairness to them, they offered free shipping for the boyfriend's jacket.

Not the best service but the quality is amazing and the price, compared to H&M or Forever21, you cannot beat this price!

Hope you like!

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What was the WORST customer service you received?

LOVE THE NAILS! i think it looks good in white... can you post the one in nude for comparison pls?

so i checked out amazing playground's facebook page & instead of apologizing for the crappy service they provide, they seem pikon about it based on a comment they made. defensive eh! no matter how good the product or price is, i am willing to pay more to a company that provides a better customer experience. that's just me... and i've been in that industry for over 10 years ;)

It's so cool to have your own customised jacket (never mind the lousy customer service). Love the nails. These days, I don't seem to have the time or patience to do much nail art anymore. How sad. :(
