Review: Human Heart Nature Body Butter and Day Moisturizer

Heeelloooo!!

While I was thinking of what to post about in my next blog post, I vaguely recalled someone asking me to do a review on the Human Heart Nature products that I showed in my Skin Care Tag.

I went back to it and true enough, Hollie asked for a review. Which I found odd 'cause she seemed to have a review for EVERYTHING. (hehe)

But nonetheless, I'll do a review! But before anything, I do recommend you to check the brand out because it's an amazing LOCAL brand that is natural and cruelty free! All the things I love!

So, anyways, on with the review.

Human Heart Nature Body Butter with Goat's Milk, Cocoa and Strawberry
Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike
1: Hate
0: Abhor

IN TERMS OF:

1. Packaging: (0/5)
If you check out my post on Shopping for Skin Care and you watch the video entitled "Packaging", then you would know that this kind of packaging is the absolute worst when it comes to bacteria. But it is hard to find body butters in a different, more sanitary, packaging. But the packaging still makes the product a breeding ground for bacteria.

2. Scent: (4/5)
I got the strawberry scented one and I must say that it doesn't smell like any strawberries I know of but it does smell like candies. For those of you who are dead set on getting the strawberry scent, don't opt for this one. But for those of you who love strawberry and candy scents all the same, this is a good scent.

3. Consistency: (5/5)
I like the consistency. It's very very thick but it doesn't feel like clay. Think of what a thick lotion would feel like, this one's kind of like that. Personally, the consistency is a happy medium and I like that.

4. Application: (2/5)
Do you know what it feels like when you apply liquid hand soap on your hand and you don't use water? That's how applying this product would feel like. You have to really really really rub it in. If you don't you'll have weird white streaks on your arm.

5. Moisturizing Effect: (5/5)
It moisturizes your skin soooo well! As you can see from my 14 in 7 post, I applied this to my feet before I went to bed and I put socks on and it made my feet soooo amazingly smooth! Mind you, I have really dry disgusting (fat) feet! I used this on my body as well before I go to bed and when I woke up the next morning, I could still smell the candy goodness!

OVERALL RATING: 3.2/5

WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Yes and No. If you're germophobic, as I am slowly becoming, then, needless to say, this is not the right product for you. But if you don't mind the packaging and you love candy scented things, then by all means, go for it!

Human Heart Nature Day Moisturizer with Sunflower and Papaya

IN TERMS OF:

1. Packaging: (4/5)
The packaging is pretty standard. I love the colors of the label. That's all I can say about the packaging. Although it is not the most germ-free, it is significantly better than the tub packaging.

2. Scent: (1/5)
I'm pretty sure that this doesn't smell like papaya. And I don't know how sunflowers smell like but if it's anything close to this, then, it's not my favorite flower anymore. It seriously smells like dried glue.

3. Consistency: (3/5)
The consistency is pretty decent. Just like that of any other lotion but slightly on the thicker side.

4. Application: (1/5)
The consistency of the body butter above is pretty similar to this product's consistency. Not good. I can't imagine rubbing your face that much. You'd have saggy skin even before you were twenty!

5. Moisturizing Effect: (1/5)
It makes me super oily! This is partly my fault. I have normal to oily skin and putting this thick a product on my face does not help at all. So, I would imagine this to work a lot better for people with dry skin.

OVERALL RATING: 2/5

WOULD I RECOMMEND?: Yes and No.
For people with oily skin, I recommend that you give this a try. I'm not saying that it'll work wonders for you but I think that it could work for you.
For people who are sensitive to scent and to those who have oily skin, it's a pass.

Side Note: I now use this as a lotion and it works pretty well for that purpose.

OTHER FACTORS

Price: Php124.75

Availability: Widely available in Multiply as well as in bazaars. Also they have a website.

oh... well said. very good review. I've been seeing this brand around the local blogosphere :) might try this brand :) its been receiving good reviews.

I don't find the packaging attractive either. I'm wondering why they're packing body butters and such with a packaging like that. hmm.

btw, you might want to check my review about a hair treatment. I read that you get your hair cut or treated since you easily get tired of your hair style. well, its not a hairstyling treatment but it would be helpful. :)

you might be as well interested in it and make a review about it. it's very new here in Davao. not quite sure at your place though.

LOL @ dried glue scent in the second one. It doesn't sound appealing. However, I like its cheerful packaging. :)
