Review: MeTime Peppermint Foot Scrub and Foot Lotion

Hello!

The hardest thing that a blogger has to do is to review her own product. But I will try really really hard to be unbiased. I promise to give the hundred percent truth.

But let me give you a background story first. My "partner" Des is entirely responsible for the foot scrub and lotion that we sell. Her aunt owns a nail salon and she decided to buy some of the products her aunts used and sell it herself.

So, these here are spa-grade products. An issue I had with the product is that it doesn't include the ingredients. According to her aunt, even from the supplier, the packaging really had no ingredients written on it. So, I'm just putting this out there.

This is what a buyer will get in the mail if he/she orders.

Here they are without the fanciness.

Rating:
5: Beyond Explanation
4: Awesome
3: Decent
2: Dislike
1: Hate
0: Abhor

IN TERMS OF:

1. Packaging:

SCRUB: (1/5)
This is a very very hard rating to give. If you have watched my Shopping for Skin Care post, you will see that this packaging is a breeding ground for bacteria so, I don't like that. But one thing should not go unnoticed. When you open the jar, it is filled to the brim! My friend Des whom I mentioned in my Legit Blog about the store, was entirely responsible for the foot scrub and foot lotion and I guess she made sure that you get what you're paying for.

LOTION: (5/5)
Des did an awesome job with the packaging of the lotion. Pump means minimal germ issues. I also love the stopper thing that the pump has so that no accidents can happen.

2. Scent: (3/5)
As you guys know, I am a big fan of fruit smells so, I am not a big fan of the peppermint scent. But Des told me that we will be coming out with new scents. I'll blog about that soon. Anyways, she said that peppermint was generally the scent used for feet. In my opinion, the scent was decent. It smelled minty, not a hate but also not a love.

3. Consistency:

SCRUB: (5/5)
Okay, now here's where I rave. When you first scoop it out of the tub, it's very thick but once the heat of your fingers get to it, it turns creamy.

LOTION: (4/5)
The lotion is more on the creamy side. If you know me, I like more of the body butter consistency rather than the lotion consistency.

4. Application: (3/5)
A little goes a long way which is a good and a bad thing. I have a hard time finding the right amount. Sometimes it's too little, other times it's too much. You just have to experiment and work with it. It has a slight menthol feeling that I love. It's nothing too overpowering just a slight tingle.

5. Effect:

Exfoliating: (5/5)
Another hit on this one. The size of the beads are just the right size to give your feet a good exfoliation. No joke, it leaves your feet very smooth.

Moisturizing: (5/5)
This is epic moisturization right here. No lie. I love the feeling after the lotion sinks in. If you guys have tries the rice lotion from bench, it's pretty similar with this one.

OVERALL RATING:

SCRUB:3.4/5
LOTION: 4/5

WOULD I RECOMMEND?:

SCRUB:
No: If you're a germophobic person, needless to say, this probably does not appeal to you so, I don't recommend you to buy it.
Yes: If you love giving your feet a treat or if you want to try these things, go for it. Also, if you don't mind ordering online, then by all means, buy one. LOL

LOTION:
No: If you prefer body butters. Otherwise, yes. :)

Price: Php100 for a set of two (exclusive of shipping fee)

Oooh the lotion looks nice :) My feet are in bad need of a treat right now but I just can't get myself to do anything about it. LOL.

Good luck with the store, btw! Will def buy some stuff from there in the near future. Just sorting things out at the moment. Can't wait to do some online hauling. Hahaha
